With 1.4 billion smartphones meaning so many of us carry a powerful camera and editing tool in our pocket, more intimate and wearable devices are now putting fashion even further at the heart of technology. As geo-location and health monitoring have taken centre stage, body-worn cameras and mixed-reality experiences are on the mainstream horizon

. How might we harness this next wave of immersive and intimate film to produce fashion film of consequence and influence?

This talk will reflect on these huge shifts in film production; how technology has influenced past fashion film making, what wearables might do to influence fashion narratives and how filmmakers and brands need to pitch themselves in this new landscape.
